It’s funny how the roads of your lives cross paths. DJ and I first crossed each other’s path back in sixth grade. He was in one class, I was in the other. I remember he liked to play football and wore a Packers jacket. I wore huge glasses. He moved away, he moved back…sophomore year in high school we realized the other person existed.

His ex-girlfriends set us up. Perhaps a weird beginning. He was the funny but quiet weightlifter, I was the outgoing cheerleader. We started dating (he was 16, I was 15), and we became best friends. We were the stereotypical high school sweethearts - football captain, cheerleading captain, on prom court together.

We decided to go to college together. We lived, we loved, we partied, we fought, we made up, and we got engaged. On June 28, 2008 we got married and moved to Green Bay.

We love camping, hiking, farmers markets, outdoor fairs, cuddling in our pajamas and watching a movies. We like to travel - even if it’s a day trip somewhere. We cherish each other and every day we have together.

In August we welcomed our little girl, Wren. Our lives changed forever, and there are no words to describe all of the ways she has changed me, and all of the amazing things I feel when I see her and cuddle with her. She lights up my day and gives new purpose to everything I do. I like to think she’s made me wiser, more patient, less selfish and happier than I’ve ever imagined.

Together we make a happy little family, and we love each other like cray-cray.
